One of my favorite place to have dinner. The best sambal in town! We are really addicted to the sambal.
This time we went there with Ferry and Deasy, our friends from my hometown, Malang. They came for visit in Surabaya and since I've already told them so many times about Bang Ali, they insisted on having their late (it was almost 10 pm!) dinner there. As usual the "warung" was very crowded, but we still found place to sit.
About the food itself, Bang Ali had the common choices for a "Warung Penyet". That includes fried tahu, tempe, eggplants, lele, smoked Ikan Pe, Tengiri, fried chicken and eggs. They always ask how would you like your sambal: mild, hot, very hot or EXTRA hot. And as usual we took very hot sambal and it was fabulous!!!
We only had to pay Rp 28.000,00 for the food for 4 pax and it is another reason to come back there again and again!
